Ideas for July 4th Activities for Kids that don’t like Fireworks

Stella is not a huge fan of fireworks. The loud, sudden noises overwhelm her.  And while we have come up with ways that she can see fireworks without the noise (watch from the car with music on or wear headphones) - I wanted to find a couple of activities to make the day special without … Continue reading Ideas for July 4th Activities for Kids that don’t like Fireworks

Book Review: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library

If you are looking for a really great time and fun read, both Stella and I highly recommend Chris Grabenstein's Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library.   While working on Stella's Detective Badge for Girl Scouts, we revisited this book.  It is an award winning children's mystery that perfectly supported her Girl Scouts Badge work because  … Continue reading Book Review: Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library
